Bold and powerful 2003 vintage is offering lasting composure, especially in magnum format. Mature, but holding up well. Blackcurrant, coffee and dark chocolate aromas lead into blackberry jam, bitter liquorice, crushed eucalyptus leaf and dried figs on the palate. The tannins are mature and soft, yet still appetisingly dry. The slight colouring of the rim suggests an opening in the next few years.

Magnum has a slightly wider drinking window.
