Notably riper, rich vintage that is mature, but holding up well. Notes of blackcurrant, coffee and dark chocolate. The expressive palate shows blackberry jam, bitter liquorice, crushed eucalyptus leaf and dried figs. The tannins are nicely dry, although hints of prune and porty notes in the flavour and slight colouring at the rim suggest best enjoyed over the coming year or two.
