The 2006 has fulfilled expectations and become beautifully nutty and savoury. Good combination of fruit and oak spice with leather from age - like rum and raisin chocolate with roasted hazelnuts and cloves. Well-integrated alcohol, the tannins have softened and the wine is drinking superbly now. Rich, fully sweet and warming. The pedigree of Monis Port wines promises a long life, but this is ready to drink.
