The 1998 is developing that attractive savoury character that you get in the 1989. Tarte Tatin, salted dark toffee, PX Sherry and sundried apricot. Not quite the complexity of the 1989, with a slight pithy bitterness in the tail, but still a well-balanced, mature dessert wine.
